Lean Manufacturing even called as Lean Production
of simply Lean.
It’s a set of tools for carefully identifying and then
systematic removing “Muda” from manufacturing process.
A pro-employee system which along with other types also considers
waste created through

Overburden of resources (“Muri”)
2.
Unevenness in work load (“Mura”)
What is waste for lean?
Anything and everything which does not add value.
So Lean is a set of tools which removes anything which does not
add value to overall process.
Removing waste reduces improves quality as well as reduces production
time and cost.
Lean – Toyota way
In Lean complete focus is on waste and its reduction
There’s a second approach of Lean developed by Toyota
Production System (TPS).
Its focus is on smoothening the flow of work which in turn
removes “Mura” (unevenness) naturally.
